Otter Tail County, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On December 5, 2024, law enforcement officers arrested 49-year-old Sean Raymond Weber in Otter Tail County. The arrest followed an incident where Weber allegedly assaulted a victim, attempted to set fire to a camper, and fled from deputies in a vehicle.
According to court documents, deputies from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report on December 4, 2024, indicating that Weber had assaulted a victim and was preventing them from leaving a location in Otter Tail County. Upon arrival, deputies found Weber in a vehicle blocking the victim’s exit. Despite commands to stop and exit the vehicle, Weber fled the scene, leading deputies on a pursuit reaching speeds of approximately 85 miles per hour on County Highway 75. The pursuit lasted about 6.5 miles until Weber’s vehicle was disabled using stop sticks and ended up in a ditch.
At the scene, officials observed burn marks on the bed of the residence. The victim reported that during the incident, Weber stated he might as well burn the place to the ground before igniting a torch and attempting to set the bed on fire. The victim was able to extinguish the fire.
Weber faces multiple charges, including:
- Two felony counts of Domestic Assault
- One felony count of Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle
- One misdemeanor count of 5th Degree Arson
He is scheduled for his next court appearance on December 30, 2024.
