Scott Klopp, 57 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

 

Scott Loren Klopp was born on July 27, 1963, in Fosston, MN the son of Loren and Helen (Qualey) Klopp. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Scott attended schools in Thief River Falls graduating from Lincoln High School with the class of 1981. Following graduation, he attended carpentry school at Northland Community College.

Scott married Roxanne Nelson and to this union a son, Bryan was born in 1991.

 

Scott worked alongside his father at Loren’s Auto Sales from the time he was a young child. He eventually became a partner in the business and following Loren’s retirement, Scott continued to operate the business for several more years.  After closing the business, Scott went to work at Westside Motors as a parts man and later became the Parts Manager.

 

Due to his declining health, Scott worked part-time as he was able as a home carpenter for the past few years.

 

When he was in good health, Scott enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, and anything outdoors. He was very people-oriented and loved visiting with his family, friends, and customers. Scott’s pride and joy were his son, Bryan, and his puppy, Charlie.

 

He was a member of the Eagle’s Club in Thief River Falls, Grygla-Fourtown Sportsman’s Club, and Minnesota Deer Hunter’s Association.

 

Survivors include his son, Bryan of Alvarado, MN; parents, Loren and Helen Klopp of Thief River Falls; sister, Teri (Troy) Walseth of Treasure Island, FL; nephew, Chase; niece, Savanah; grand-niece, Rosalyn; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; and many other relatives and friends.

 

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Sanford Medical Center Dialysis Unit for their wonderful care throughout the years.
