Horrific Details of the Crime
Authorities say the female victim was held against her will, suffering severe burns from boiling water, stab wounds, and physical abuse.
π Date of Incident: January 27-29, 2025
π Suspect: Jabari Quentin Junior, 22
π Victim’s Injuries:
- Severe burns to face, arms, and torso
- Stab wound to the leg
- Head forcibly shaved
- Forced to drink cleaning solution
According to court documents, police responded to Regions Hospital on Jan. 29, after Metro Transit officers transported the victim. She told investigators that Junior had held her captive in his apartment since Jan. 27, subjecting her to brutal abuse.
The Abuse & Escape
πΉ The victim initially visited Juniorβs apartment voluntarily but an argument escalated.
πΉ He shaved her head with electric clippers and began pouring boiling water on her repeatedly over the next two days.
πΉ She was prevented from leaving, and at one point, Junior encouraged her to jump off the Wabasha Bridge.
πΉ He forced her to drink a cleaning solution and cut her with a knife when she refused to self-inflict injuries.
πΉ On Jan. 29, Junior walked her to a bus stop, called 911 himself, and told her to lie about her injuries before fleeing.
Investigation & Arrest
π Police located Junior by phone and arrested him.
π A search of his Saint Paul apartment revealed:
- Cleaned surfaces
- An electric razor with hair clippings
- Pots used in the boiling water assaults
Initially, Junior denied all wrongdoing, but later admitted to some actions, claiming they were accidental.
Allegations of Human Trafficking
π¨ The victim also disclosed that Junior trafficked her for sex after bringing her from Chicago to Minnesota in Nov. 2024.
π¨ He allegedly arranged for multiple men to assault her while collecting payments.
Felony Charges & Bail Set at $1 Million
Junior now faces multiple felony charges, including:

βοΈ First-degree assault
βοΈ Second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon
