SAINT FRANCIS, Anoka County — E-Bike Rider Killed in Collision with School Bus at Busy Intersection

SAINT FRANCIS, Anoka County (trfnews.i234.me) — A 20-year-old e-bike rider, identified as Brady Gerald Ausland of Oak Grove, MN, was fatally injured on March 28, 2025, at 7:28 a.m., after a collision with a school bus at the intersection of Highway 47 and Ambassador Boulevard NW.

According to authorities, a 2017 Freightliner school bus, driven by Shelina Marie Hansen (42) of Cedar, MN, was making a right turn from eastbound Ambassador Blvd NW onto southbound Hwy 47 after a complete stop. Ausland was traveling northbound in the crosswalk parallel to Hwy 47 and reportedly did not stop at a posted crosswalk stop sign before colliding with the turning bus.

Ausland was wearing a helmet at the time and no alcohol was involved. He was pronounced deceased by the Anoka County Medical Examiner. The bus driver was uninjured, and no students were reported aboard.
