SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State soccer’s Morgan Russmann was named the Summit League Peak Offensive Performer of the Week, announced the league office Monday afternoon.
Russmann was named the offensive peak performer for the second-straight week after she propelled the Bison to a come-from-behind 2-1 win against St. Thomas, helping NDSU win the 2024 Summit League Regular Season Championship.
Russmann took a header from Gabrielle Garrett, then flicked a ball past a defender, before firing a right footed shot into the corner to tie the game at 1-1 in the 61st minute. Five minutes later, Russmann would step up and convert a penalty to put the Bison in front with her 11th goal of the season, eighth league goal and fourth game-winning goal in league play.
The honor is the second for Russmann and third for NDSU this season. Russmann and Olivia Watson swept the honors last week.
The Bison clinched the Summit League Regular Season Championship with the win and will host the semifinals and final on November 7 and 10 at Dacotah Field in Fargo.
