Rushford, Fillmore County (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities responded to a bizarre and alarming crash on Highway 43 near Park Street East in Rushford, Fillmore County. A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 91-year-old Myron Dale Bunke of Rushford, veered off course Tuesday morning and struck a parked GMC Terrain SUV, a light pole, and a fire hydrant, causing significant disruption on the southbound shoulder.
Despite the chaos, the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Winona Health for further evaluation. The crash, which happened under dry road conditions, prompted responses from the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, Rushford Police, and Rushford Ambulance.
No injuries were reported for the parked vehicle, and alcohol was not involved according to the report.
