ROTHSAY, MINN. — The former Rothsay city clerk has been sentenced in a felony theft case tied to city utility payments and a local fundraiser.
Lisa M. Zimmerman was sentenced to 30 days of electronic home monitoring and five years of supervised probation, according to court records.
Zimmerman has also been ordered to pay $67,000 in restitution.
Plea deal
Under a plea agreement, Zimmerman pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft. Other counts were dismissed under the deal.

What prosecutors alleged
Court documents say Zimmerman took cash utility payments made to the City of Rothsay.
The documents also allege she took money collected for a local cancer patient.
