ROSEAU, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A 22-year-old man, Bradley Beam, is facing felony assault and misdemeanor domestic assault charges after allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend with an axe in Roseau, Minnesota.

On August 9th, police responded to an apartment complex following a report of a man wielding an axe and threatening a woman.

When officers arrived, they encountered Beam, who claimed he needed the axe for protection.

He became uncooperative and was subsequently arrested.

The ex-girlfriend informed police that Beam had been drinking and was walking around the apartment with the axe blade pointed toward her, making her fearful due to a history of domestic violence.

Officers recovered the steel brand axe with a two-foot handle from the apartment.
