Roseau (trfnews.i234.me) – A terrifying domestic confrontation in Roseau County has led to felony charges against 35-year-old Justin A. Hedlund.
According to court documents, officers responded to a dispute at a Roseau residence on June 20th around 10:10 p.m. involving a female allegedly trying to take a gun away from Hedlund. When police arrived, Hedlund claimed he didn’t know the gun’s location.
Shortly after, the female contacted officers again and said she had confronted Hedlund after finding him with a firearm. During a struggle over the weapon, Hedlund allegedly threatened to shoot her in the hand if she didn’t leave his house.
The woman told police she managed to grab the gun and run to her car. As she fled, Hedlund reportedly jumped onto her vehicle. Officers recovered the gun from her and documented visible bruises on her wrist and forehead.
Hedlund is now facing a felony charge of threats of violence and misdemeanor assault.
