Ronnie Glenn Hendrickson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on April 12, 2025, in Grand Forks, surrounded by his beloved family.
Born in Mekinock, ND on April 5, 1933, Ronnie was the second of three children born to Gordon and Mae (Jorde) Hendrickson. Ronnie was raised to embrace life with a strong dedication to his lifelong passion for farming.
A proud graduate of Lakeville County School, Ronnie was more than just a farmer; he was a man of deep character and integrity, known for his loving nature, willingness to help anyone in need, and unwavering loyalty to his family. He spent two years in the U.S. Army, an experience that shaped his values and commitment to serving others.
On July 29, 1962, Ronnie married the love of his life, Idamae Dalzell, at the First Presbyterian Church in Grand Forks. Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with love and laughter. Their union brought forth three wonderful children, Ricky, Jana and Mark, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength.
Ronnie was a passionate man who loved spending time outdoors, whether it was tending to the family farm, working on his John Deere equipment, or hunting deer and fox. He relished spending time with his family. He and Idamae attended every event for their grandchildren, go-carting, hockey and racing. He quickly became everyone’s #1 fan. Above all, he relished spending time with his family. Ronnie’s grandchildren—Ashley, Brittany, Cody, Emily, Bre, and Luke—were a source of immense pride for him, and he reveled in every opportunity to create lasting memories with them. In recent years, his joy expanded as he welcomed great-grandchildren: Taylor, Konnor, Brooklynn and Miley into the family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Idamae; his children: Ricky (Penny) Hendrickson, Jana (Lenny) Becker and Mark (Kari) Hendrickson; grandchildren: Ashley, Brittany, Cody, Emily, Bre and Luke; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Konnor, Brooklyn and Miley. Who will all remember him for his gentle spirit and loving heart.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his siblings: Vivian (Ike) Prlina, Carmen (Marilyn) Hendrickson; parents, Gordon and Mae Hendrickson, who instilled in him the values he carried throughout his life.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am at Amundson Funeral Home on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the Amundson Funeral Home.
