Rolette County ( trfnews.i234.me ) — A Dunseith man is facing several charges after allegedly leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase while riding an ATV.
According to court documents, Dunseith’s Police Chief and a Rolette County Sheriff’s deputy were attempting to locate Clark Davis in connection with active warrants and a suspended driver’s license.
The officers located Davis on a four-wheeler on the east side of town and activated their emergency lights. Authorities say Davis accelerated, driving through fields and backyards to evade capture.
The pursuit continued across multiple city streets at high speeds, with court records stating Davis passed pedestrians on streets, sidewalks, and yards, showing “little to no regard for human life.”
The chase ended when Davis crashed into a barbed-wire fence near a field on the west end of Dunseith. Officers say he fled on foot into a wooded area before being found hiding under a tree. He complied with orders to crawl toward officers and was arrested without further incident.
Davis is charged with reckless endangerment and fleeing a peace officer, along with misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and driving under suspension.
