Rockville, Stearns County (trfnews.i234.me) – A young driver was hospitalized Wednesday evening following a crash involving a car and a semi-truck at the intersection of Highway 23 and County Road 47 in Rockville.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 19-year-old Olivia Sandra Ann Williams of Saint Cloud was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 northbound on Highway 23 when she entered the intersection and collided with a westbound 2003 Kenworth semi truck/trailer driven by 36-year-old Mitchell Gordon Gobely of Hastings.
Williams, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital. The semi driver was not injured.
Emergency response included the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Rockville Fire/Rescue, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance. The road was dry at the time of the crash. No alcohol was involved.
