Rock (Margaret) Bundlie died on June 3, 2024, at Altru Hospital. She was born on October 9th, 1928, in Ruston, Louisiana to Tod and Margaret Rockwell. In 1931, she and her mother returned to Grand Forks.
Rock graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1945. In 1949, she graduated from UND. After graduation she worked at KNOX radio.
In 1951, she married Chuck Bundlie and after his military service they settled in Grand Forks. Rock was employed at UND in the Women’s Center, the Vets Center and the International Center where she was an immigration coordinator for international students.
Rock taught piano for many years and was actively involved with the Grand Forks Symphony, The Thursday Music Club, and the Inquiring Minds Book Club. She will be remembered for her generous support of various arts and charitable organizations in Grand Forks.
Rock was preceded in death by her grandparents: John and Margaret Gillette, her mother Margaret Rockwell, father Tod Rockwell, and Chuck Bundlie.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no memorial service. Instead, there will be a time for friends to gather and remember her at Amundson Funeral Home, on Tuesday, June 11, from 2 pm to 5 pm.
