Olmsted County (trfnews.i234.me) – A 22-year-old Rochester woman, Hafsa Mohamed, is in custody after allegedly intentionally running over a man with her car during a violent altercation early July 3 in the parking lot of River View Suites on 1st Street Northeast.
According to police, the victim was found motionless with a broken femur. Witnesses identified Mohamed’s red Nissan Altima, which rammed a police car in an attempted escape before she was arrested.
A woman on the scene said Mohamed tried to instigate a fight, then deliberately hit her boyfriend, driving over him. Officers observed signs of intoxication, and Mohamed blew 0.146 BAC during a breath test.
She now faces six charges, including second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and two counts of DWI. Her bail is set at $50,000, and she is due back in court on July 15.
If convicted, Mohamed faces up to 10 years in prison.
