Rice County (trfnews.i234.me) — A three-vehicle collision on MN Hwy 3 near milepost 4 in Cannon City Township, Rice County, sent one driver to the hospital on March 20, 2025.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2010 Toyota Prius, a 2019 Chevy Malibu, and a 2015 Kia Sorento were all traveling southbound on Hwy 3 when they collided around 10:30 a.m. under dry road conditions.
The driver of the Malibu, Lindsey Ann Kuhlman, age 31, from Faribault, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to District One Hospital.
The Prius was driven by Hunter Kenneth Smith, age 22, from Mankato, who was not hospitalized. A passenger in the Prius, Reyce Danielle Schaffer, age 23, was also unharmed. The driver of the Sorento, Mandy Lynne Seidel, age 37, of Northfield, did not report any injuries.
Responding agencies included the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, Faribault Police Department, and Faribault Fire Department. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not involved in the crash.
