GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Shawn Bjerke of Drayton, North Dakota, is facing a new series of felony charges following a high-speed chase that took place on Sunday night. The pursuit, which began in Traill County and ended in Grand Forks, resulted in significant damage to several law enforcement vehicles before Bjerke was apprehended. He is now charged with six felonies, including fleeing, reckless endangerment, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, and criminal mischief.
Bjerke has a history of similar offenses, having been convicted in June 2020 for fleeing and reckless endangerment after a pit maneuver was used to stop him in Grand Forks. His record also includes a July 2020 conviction for possession with intent to deliver meth and a September 2020 guilty plea for possession of meth and reckless endangerment. His latest arrest adds to a troubling pattern of criminal behavior.
