Repeat DWI Offender Caught in Bemidji with BAC Nearly Twice Legal Limit – trfnews.i234.me

Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me)Brendan David Edward Neadeau, 23, of Red Lake, Minnesota, has been charged with second-degree driving while impaired (DWI) following a traffic stop in Bemidji on May 18, 2025.

According to the criminal complaint, Officer Tyler Schlattman of the Bemidji Police Department observed a dark-colored sedan with loud exhaust backing out of a parking spot on Beltrami Avenue NW around 2:27 a.m. Upon initiating a traffic stop, Officer Schlattman identified the driver as Neadeau, who exhibited signs of impairment, including sweating despite cool temperatures, watery eyes, and choppy speech.

Neadeau admitted to consuming approximately five drinks at a bar and failed field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test indicated a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .169. At the Beltrami County Jail, a subsequent breath test showed a BAC of .15.

Neadeau’s driving record includes two prior DWI-related offenses: a misdemeanor fourth-degree DWI in 2021 and a gross misdemeanor DWI in 2023, for which he is currently on unsupervised probation.
