Renee Lahtinen, 71

Minot, ND – Renee Lahtinen, 71, Minot, ND, formerly of Thief River Falls, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND.
Renee was born July 22, 1953, the daughter of Bob and Patsy Reed. She was raised and educated in Thief River Falls.
Renee married Ralph Wheeler in 1982. They made their home in Stanley, ND. They had two daughters, Mary and Sara. They later divorced.
In 1991, Renee married Warren Lahtinen and had one daughter, Anna.
Renee was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her loved ones and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandma, cheering for Grayson at his football games. Her spirited personality and sense of humor never failed to make people around her smile. She made friends everywhere she went and greeted everyone with kindness and a warm smile.
Renee was a woman of faith who found incredible resilience, strength, and optimism in God. Renee was a member of Living Waters Church in Minot, ND.
Coffee, frozen grapes, and writing letters were some of her favorite things. She enjoyed reading and caring for her pets, Billy Jack, Bijou, and Willow.
Her loving family includes: daughters, Mary (Darryl Hicks) Wheeler, Sara Wheeler, and Anna Lahtinen; grandson, Grayson; sisters, Patty (Dave) Liden and Bonnie (Rod) Wentzel; brother, Dan (Ellen) Reed; and her nieces and nephews.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sheryl.
The Memorial service will take place on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Living Waters Church, Minot, ND.
