Granite Rock Township, Redwood County (trfnews.i234.me) — On Sunday, April 20, 2025, at approximately 2:20 PM, a significant two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 68 and Redwood County Road 10 in Granite Rock Township. The incident involved a westbound 2017 Jeep Cherokee and a northbound 2015 GMC Acadia, resulting in nine individuals being transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the GMC Acadia, driven by 47-year-old Kristi Marie Huge of Chandler, MN, was traveling north on County Road 10 when it collided with the westbound Jeep Cherokee, operated by 36-year-old Kristi Lynn Downing of Minneota, MN. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, with airbags deploying in each.

The road conditions at the time of the accident were dry. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, Lucan Fire Department, Lucan First Responders, Wabasso, Walnut Grove, Tracy emergency services, CentraCare, and North Memorial Ambulance Services.
