Beltrami County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Red Lake man was arrested in Bemidji on June 27, 2025, after officers say he was driving impaired and found with multiple controlled substances, including methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Corey James Stately (DOB 5/11/1986) was pulled over for obstructed vision from items hanging from his mirror. Officer Warren, a trained Drug Recognition Evaluator, noticed Stately had glassy eyes, droopy facial features, and visible needle marks. Stately admitted to using meth the night before.

Field sobriety tests confirmed impairment, and during a search, officers discovered:

  • Methamphetamine (1.06 grams total)

  • Fentanyl (1.05 grams)

  • Marijuana (12 grams)

  • Gabapentin, suboxone, and paraphernalia

Passenger Joelle Lee Beaulieu was also arrested on a warrant.

Stately was charged with:

  1. Felony 5th-degree drug possession

  2. Misdemeanor 4th-degree DWI – Schedule I/II drugs

He provided a urine sample under warrant and was later cleared from the ER before being booked into jail. Stately has a prior conviction for fleeing police in 2021.
