On 06/04/21, a formal criminal complaint was filed, charging Brenton Troy Gerholdt (36) of Oklee with gross misdemeanor neglect or endangerment of a child. The complaint alleges a 3-year-old child of Mr. Gerholdt’s was unsupervised, on the city streets of Oklee on consecutive days in May of 2021. Mr. Gerholdt failed to provide supervision appropriate for the child’s age, exposing the child to possible physical harm. The child had been placed in Foster Care for a few days following these incidents but is now home again. Mr. Gerholdt will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls later this month.
On the morning of 06/04/21, Douglas Charles Maddux (52) of Stillwater, MN was cited for speeding on Hwy. #59 south of Brooks.
On the afternoon of 06/05/21, Ashley Marie Counts (34) of Dunseith, ND was cited for speeding on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls.
On the evening of 06/05/21, Marcellous Jermaine Frizzle (35) of Brooks was cited for misdemeanor driving after suspension on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls.
On the evening of 06/05/21, Jasmine Lee Ann Duke (23) of Grand Forks, ND was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI. She was stopped while operating a motor vehicle on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls. Ms. Duke was released to a responsible party later that same night and she will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls at a future date.
On the evening of 06/06/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of people jumping off of the bridge, into the Red Lake River along CR. #13. A Red Lake County deputy responded to the scene. A number of individuals were counseled and moved from the area.
On the afternoon of 06/08/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of some suspicious activity on the pipeline right-of-way north of Plummer. Red Lake County deputies responded to the scene and found that the parties at that location were doing contract work for Enbridge and they were authorized to be there.
On the afternoon of 06/08/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. #92, approximately 5 miles east of Hwy. #32. The reporting party claimed that nobody was injured but both involved vehicles were severely damaged. A Red Lake County deputy responded to investigate the incident. It was determined that Tyler Gregory Randolf Sandahl (23) of Brooks was eastbound on #92, and he rear-ended another vehicle that had slowed down to make a right-hand turn into a residence. Mr. Sandahl was cited for misdemeanor careless driving and texting while driving.
On the evening of 06/09/21, Lisa Kathleen Almhjeld (42) of Crookston was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 north of Red Lake Falls.
On 06/10/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of property from a location in Gervais Township. That matter is still under investigation.
