Threatening Text Report

A Red Lake Falls parent called on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025. The parent said a juvenile daughter got scary texts. The messages were called harassing and threatening. A county deputy spoke with the family. Advice was given, and the report was logged.

Holiday Train Crowds In Plummer

On Tuesday evening, Dec. 16, 2025, crowds filled Plummer for the Holiday Train stop. Local law enforcement helped with traffic and crowd control. The Plummer Fire Department also assisted. Oklee Ambulance helped with medical coverage. The Minnesota State Patrol supported the operation. The sheriff’s log said the event drew hundreds. The log did not list major problems.

Warrant Arrest From Fosston

That same evening, Beltrami County deputies made an arrest. The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office reported it arrested Jennifer Joy Olson, 44, of Fosston. The arrest was tied to an active misdemeanor warrant from Red Lake County. Beltrami County also listed local charges. Red Lake County said it would be alerted before any release. The log later said Olson was taken to the jail in Crookston. The release entry showed Dec. 17, 2024, while other entries were dated 2025.

Wallet Found After Event

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025, deputies handled a lost item report. A wallet was found in Plummer after the Holiday Train event. The wallet had no ID inside. The sheriff’s office asked the owner to contact the staff.

Store Call In Red Lake Falls

Also on Dec. 17, staff at Dollar General in Red Lake Falls asked for help. Employees reported an unruly customer. A deputy responded and spoke with those involved. The issue was settled at the store, according to the log.

What Residents Can Do

Residents can take simple steps after similar events. Save any threatening texts as screenshots. Do not reply to the sender. Block the number if needed. Call 911 if you feel in danger.
