Tree on Roadway: A report was received of a tree blocking Chicago Avenue near 5th Street SW in Red Lake Falls. City crews were notified and cleared the roadway.

Traffic Citation: Clay Alan Stittsworth, 62, of Bemidji, was cited for speeding on County Road 10, north of County Road 6.

U-Haul Trailer Complaint: A deputy investigated a possible trailer theft. The suspect had rented the trailer, delivered items to Red Lake Falls, and was unsure where to return it. The trailer was returned, and the issue was resolved.

ATV Complaint: Deputies responded to reports of reckless ATV driving in Sportsman’s Park, Red Lake Falls. The suspect was counseled on safe driving.

City Employee Complaint (Plummer): A resident filed a complaint about a city employee. The Sheriff’s Office addressed the issue and advised the complainant to also contact the Plummer City Clerk’s Office for non-criminal concerns.

Illegal Dumping: The City of Plummer reported an incident of illegal dumping. The matter remains under investigation.

Traffic Citation: Thomas George Reginald Richards, 27, of Eagle Creek, OR, was cited for speeding on County Road 13 west of Red Lake Falls.

Traffic Citation: Yendi Latrece Douglas, 47, of Morrow, GA, was cited for speeding on Highway 32 south of Red Lake Falls.

Warrant Arrest: Patricia Ann Panek, 43, of Oklee, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant at her residence. She posted $50 cash bail and was released with a court appearance scheduled for August 27, 2025, in Red Lake Falls.

Found Bicycle (Oklee): A resident reported an abandoned bicycle left in their yard on Main Street, Oklee. Deputies took possession of the bike. Anyone missing a bicycle in Oklee is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

Domestic Disturbance (Oklee): Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The incident was determined to be a verbal dispute only. No crimes were committed, and deputies counseled the parties involved.
Sheriff Bernstein’s office continues to encourage residents to promptly report suspicious activity or safety hazards.
