Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office Report 04/18/25

On the afternoon of 04/11/25, an individual reported they were backing out of the Grime to Shine Car Wash in Red Lake Falls and they backed their vehicle into the overhead door frame, causing damage to the building. The driver was not injured, but a Red Lake County deputy responded and completed a crash report and the owner of the vehicle, and the building were given copies to submit to their respective insurance companies.

On the morning of 04/12/24, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received reports from several Plummer residents claiming items were stolen from their parked vehicles sometime overnight. This case remains under investigation.

On the afternoon of 04/12/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a man who claimed he was homeless and was requesting assistance. A Red Lake County deputy spoke with him at Eagle Square in Red Lake Falls and he was given a ride to Care & Share in Crookston.

In the early morning hours of 04/13/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious looking person walking in an alleyway in Plummer. A Red Lake County deputy responded to the area but was unable to locate a suspect.

On the evening of 04/13/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report from an individual who claimed they received a disturbing Facebook message from another person. A Red Lake County deputy spoke with the individual and that matter is still under investigation.

On the afternoon of 04/14/25, a Red Lake Falls resident reported they were being harassed by another person. A Red Lake County deputy spoke with the reporting party and the incident was documented and advice was given.

On the evening of 04/17/25, a Red Lake County deputy spoke with individuals who were having a dispute over child custody. Advice was given and the situation was mediated for the time being.

On the morning of 04/18/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that the inside of a house in Red Lake Falls appeared to have been vandalized. The owners of the home stayed elsewhere during the winter, so it was vacant for several months. Red Lake County law enforcement officers responded and investigated the incident. Evidence revealed that the damage to the inside of the home was caused by some sort of animal, most likely a squirrel. No crime had been committed, and the owners were notified of the situation.
