On 04/04/25, a formal criminal complaint was filed, charging Wendy Sue Gustafson (54) of Red Lake Falls with gross misdemeanor issuance of dishonored checks. The complaint alleges she issued four checks to two separate businesses in Red Lake Falls, between September 2024 and January 2025 on a closed checking account. The total amount of the checks was $699.95, and she will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls later this month.
On the morning of 04/07/25, an individual reported a theft of a trailer from a residence in Plummer. Later the same day, a Red Lake County deputy located the trailer at another residence in Plummer. The trailer was seized and returned to the owner’s property. This matter remains under investigation.
On the evening of 04/08/25, Autumn Leigh Bealieu (28) of Redby was cited for speeding and no proof of current motor vehicle insurance on CR. #7 east of Hwy. #59.
On the afternoon of 04/09/25, Jaris James Lane (36) of Plummer was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation on Hwy. #59 south of Brooks.
On the afternoon of 04/09/25, Erika Kaye Beckett (55) of Erskine was cited for speeding on CR. #5 north of Oklee.
On the afternoon of 04/09/25, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a vehicle was struck and damaged while parked in the Auto Value parking lot in Red Lake Falls. That report is still under investigation.
On the afternoon of 04/10/25, a Red Lake Falls resident reported a missing cat. The cat is described as large, gray with white paws and the back legs are mostly white. If anyone has any information about its whereabouts, or sees the cat, they contact the Sheriff’s Office.
