On 11/26/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible harassment/restraining order violation. This report was made by a Red Lake Falls resident and it is currently under investigation.
On 11/28/20, a Brooks resident reported that someone had taken their dog from outside of their residence. Surveillance footage from Brooks Cenex was obtained, showing images of a suspect vehicle and an unidentified female. These pictures were put out on Social Media. Within a short period of time, a female came forward and returned the dog to the owner.
On 11/29/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of property from a Red Lake Falls residence. That report is still under investigation.
On the evening of 12/01/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a tractor that had been stolen in Pennington County was seen traveling south on CR. #2 in Gervais Township. Red Lake County deputies responded to the area of the report, but they could not locate the suspected stolen tractor that evening in the dark. On the afternoon of 12/02/20, another party reported that they suspected the tractor may be out in a field in Gervais Township. Red Lake County law enforcement responded to the area to investigate that report. The stolen tractor was located and Pennington County law enforcement officers were notified and they also responded to the scene. Jeremy Aaron Tostrup (24) of Plummer and Daniel Adam Sevigny (48) of Erskine were both arrested for their involvement in the theft of the tractor. They were turned over to Pennington County authorities and taken to the jail in Thief River Falls. The tractor was also brought back to Thief River Falls. Several other items of property and illegal controlled substances were seized by law enforcement at that location.
Later that same evening, a search warrant was executed at the residence of Mr. Tostrup in Emardville Township. Other suspected stolen items were seized. Brandeis Jayde Olberg (41) of Newfolden was at that residence and he was arrested for violating the terms of his supervised probation. He was taken to the jail in Crookston. Another adult female was present and she was arrested for violating the terms of her supervised probation and she was taken to the jail in Thief River Falls by Pennington County authorities. All arrested parties are still in custody at the time of this release.
On 12-03-20, Pennington County and Red Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies executed another search warrant at the residence of Jeremy Tostrup in Emardville Township. Numerous stolen items were recovered.
