On 11/04/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of property from a residence in Oklee. That report is still under investigation.
On the evening of 11/05/20, a domestic disturbance was reported at a residence in the city of Oklee. Red Lake County deputies responded and removed a juvenile male from the home. He was brought to the Juvenile Detention Center in Crookston. He was held overnight and was released to his mother the following day.
On the evening of 11/05/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an intoxicated female operating a vehicle in the Brooks area. A few minutes after that call, On Star Services contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report that a vehicle had ran out of gas, near the train tracks, along Hwy. #59 south of Brooks. A Red Lake County deputy located the vehicle parked on the train tracks at an intersection. Dispatch notified CP Rail so they were aware of the situation. The deputy discovered the driver, Cheyenne Durana Jones (28) of Minneapolis, was extremely intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that she was driving a stolen vehicle that had been reported earlier in Lyon County. She also had several outstanding misdemeanor warrants in Hennepin County and was in need of medical attention. The Oklee Ambulance was contacted to respond to the scene. They transported Ms. Jones to the Sanford ER in Thief River Falls. A tow truck also came to the scene to remove the vehicle off of the railroad tracks. Once Ms. Jones was medically cleared and released from the hospital, she was taken to the jail in Crookston and was booked for felony possession of stolen property and gross misdemeanor DWI. She was released from Red Lake County’s custody the following day and Hennepin County was notified so their matters could be dealt with. She will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls at a later date.
On the afternoon of 11/06/20, Red Lake County Law Enforcement officers responded to a report of a rollover on Central Ave. W. in Plummer. The caller stated the vehicle was unoccupied but was on its roof in the south ditch. The driver of the van, Randy Lee Brosseau (34) of Red Lake Falls, was found unharmed in the city of Plummer. Mr. Brosseau was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of illegal controlled substances. He was released from custody later that same day. The van was severely damaged and it was removed from the ditch the following day.
On 11/09/20, the Leech Lake Police Department reported they had arrested Tanisha Marie Mountain (37) of Cass Lake. Red Lake County held an active misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. Ms. Mountain posted a cash bond to satisfy the warrant and she has been scheduled to make her next court appearance in Red Lake Falls on 11/25/20.
On the afternoon of 11/10/20, Robert Duncan Fox (27 ) of Oklee was arrested for violating the terms of his supervised probation. Mr. Fox was transported to the jail in Crookston.
On the evening of 11/10/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a disturbance at an apartment complex in Red Lake Falls. David Michael Tsosie (34) of Red Lake Falls was arrested and taken to the jail in Crookston. Mr. Tsosie was booked for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and a probation violation.
On 11/11/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of property from a garage in the city of Red Lake Falls. That matter remains under investigation.
On the evening of 11/12/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received reports of two separate rollover crashes on Hwy. #59 north of Plummer. The Plummer Fire Department and the Oklee Ambulance were also called to assist at the scene. The drivers of these vehicles were unharmed. The Minnesota State Patrol handled the crash investigations, but it appears that slippery road conditions were the main contributing factor in these crashes.
