On the morning of 09/17/21, Steven Curtis Holm (63) of Ulen was cited for speeding on CR. #5 north of Oklee.

On the afternoon of 09/17/21, Joey Sylvester Riendeau (44) of Crookston was cited for speeding on CR. #11 west of Red Lake Falls.

On the afternoon of 09/17/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance on Main St. in Oklee. Red Lake County deputies responded and investigated the complaint. It was discovered that two Oklee residents were arguing on the street and they had pushed each other. One resident was upset because the other involved party was recording them while they were out in their yard. This report remains under investigation.

On the afternoon of 09/18/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary at a residence in Poplar River Township. The homeowner claimed they were home when the burglary occurred earlier that morning. The victim claimed that someone entered their home and a cellphone was taken. This case is still under investigation.

On the afternoon of 09/19/21, Vincent Peter Bambrink (41) of Blackduck was cited for speeding on CR. #7 east of Hwy.#59.

On the afternoon of 09/19/21, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle on Toupin St. in the city of Oklee because they knew the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. The driver of the vehicle, Brenton Troy Gerholdt (36) of Oklee became upset with the deputy and was yelling obscenities on the public street. Mr. Gerholdt was arrested, taken to the jail in Crookston, and was booked for misdemeanor driving after revocation and disorderly conduct. Mr. Gerholdt appeared in Court in Crookston on 09/21/21 and he was released from custody and his future court date was set.

On the afternoon of 09/21/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an attempted burglary at a location in Gervais Township. At this time, the reporting party does not think anything has been stolen, but a door was damaged. This report is still under investigation.

On the morning of 09/22/21, an Oklee residence reported a burglary and theft of property. That report remains under investigation.

On the afternoon of 09/22/21, Red Lake County deputies arrested Noah Francis Zimmerman (24) at his residence in Red Lake Falls. The Minnesota Department of Corrections had an active warrant for his arrest, for violating the terms of his supervised probation. Mr. Zimmerman was taken to the jail in Crookston and he was turned over to Roseau County authorities on 09/23/21 so he can appear in court in that jurisdiction.

On the evening of 09/23/21, Jalina Ann McBride (53) of Clayburn, TX was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 north of Red Lake Falls.

On the evening of 09/23/21, Heidi Nicole Cabrales (35) of Fertile was cited for speeding on Hwy. #32 north of Red Lake Falls.

On the morning of 09/24/21, two formal criminal complaints were filed. One of the complaints charged Tanya Lynn Aery (32) of Thief River Falls, MN with a felony-controlled substance crime and a gross misdemeanor-controlled substance crime. The criminal complaint alleges that Ms. Aery possessed methamphetamine while in the city of Brooks in August of 2021. The other complaint charges Christopher Anthony Bauman (33) of Benson, MN with a misdemeanor violation of a harassment restraining order. The criminal complaint alleges that he sent a text to a female in early September, and at the time the text was sent, a harassment restraining order was in effect, prohibiting the contact. Both parties will be summonsed to Court in Red Lake Falls in October of 2021.
