11-25-22 News Release

On the evening of 11/19/22, a Red Lake Falls resident, requested assistance with the removal of an unwanted individual from their house. A Red Lake County deputy responded and had the person leave the residence. They were also advised not to return unless invited by the property owner.

On the afternoon of 11/21/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an individual, parked in the roadway, near the Red Lake River Bridge on Hwy. #32 north of Red Lake Falls. The caller also thought that individual may be lighting off fireworks. A Red Lake County deputy responded, located the suspect and advised the individual they could not park on the roadway and impede traffic. The individual complied and left the area.

On the afternoon of 11/21/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance at the Hockey Arena in Red Lake Falls. Red Lake County deputies responded and were able to separate the involved parties. The incident remains under investigation at this time.

On the evening of 11/21/22, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle on Harren Dr. in Red Lake Falls for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was Brett Lee Anderson (42) of Crookston. During the investigation at the stop, the deputy determined that Mr. Anderson was exhibiting signs of being under the influence illegal controlled substances. Mr. Anderson was arrested, taken to the jail in Crookston and booked for misdemeanor DUI. He was released from custody the following day. He will be summons to court after the test results come back.

On the afternoon of 11/22/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of individuals threatening and harassing employees at Brent’s Grocery Store in Red Lake Falls. Red Lake County deputies spoke with several individuals to attempt to mediate the issues between the parties. Three people were formally trespassed from Brent’s Grocery Store and the involved parties were advised to apply for harassment/restraining orders if unwanted contact continues.
