Red Lake County (trfnews.i234.me) — On Saturday, May 11, 2025, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbing scam targeting a Red Lake Falls resident at their home.
According to officials, an individual arrived unannounced and falsely claimed the resident owed money on their home and vehicle. The suspect then attempted to obtain sensitive personal information by asking the resident to scan a QR code.
Authorities are urging the public not to provide any information to individuals making such claims. This tactic is a scam.
