On the evening of 07/15/22, a Red Lake County deputy received several complaints about a small child riding a dirt bike in the Red Lake Falls Mall Parking Lot and on the streets of town. The deputy located the child on the dirt bike and returned the 8-year-old to their residence. A report has been sent to the County Attorney’s Office for consideration of criminal charges.

On the evening of 07/16/22, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls. Investigation during the stop revealed the driver, Taylor Cleary Pratt (25) of Grand Forks, was under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Pratt was arrested and booked for misdemeanor DWI. He was released from custody that night and he will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls at a later date.

In the early morning hours of 07/17/22, the Thief River Falls Police Department requested assistance in locating a Red Lake Falls resident, who was a suspect in an assault that had occurred in Thief River Falls earlier in the night. That individual was located by a Red Lake County deputy. Thief River Falls Police advised they were still looking into the matter so the suspect was not detained and no further assistance was needed.

On the afternoon of 07/17/22, Hannah Lynn Meyer (21) of Fargo was cited for speeding on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls.

On the afternoon of 07/17/22, Zachary William Buckholz (23) of Grand Forks was cited for speeding on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls.

On the morning of 07/18/22, John James Nogowski (34) was arrested in Red Lake Falls for violating the terms of his supervised probation. He was taken to the jail in Crookston and he remains in custody at the time of this release.

On the afternoon of 07/18/22, a Red Lake County deputy provided traffic assistance on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls while a semi-truck driver picked up some debris that had fallen off of his trailer.

On the afternoon of 07/18/22, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a minor traffic collision, involving two vehicles, at the intersection of Bridge St. and Broadway Ave. in Red Lake Falls. Both vehicles were substantially damaged and the occupant of one of the involved vehicles reported minor injuries but did not require an ambulance.

On 07/19/22, the St. Cloud Police Department reported they had arrested Chelsie Marie Beyer (34) of St. Cloud. Red Lake County held an active warrant for her arrest for failing to appear at a probation violation hearing in the fall of 2021. They indicated they may have local charges pending and they would advise when she was ready to be released from their custody.

On the evening of 07/19/22, a Red Lake Falls resident reported a theft. That matter is still under investigation.

On the evening of 07/19/22, a Red Lake County deputy responded to two Red Lake Falls neighbors having a dispute. The matter was mediated without arrests or citations.

On the afternoon of 07/20/22, Concorde P Basargin (32) of Erskine was cited for speeding on CR. #49 west of Hwy. #59.

On the afternoon of 07/20/22, Tyler Lynn Hall (29) of Fertile was cited for speeding on CR. #49 west of Hwy. #59.

On the evening of 07/20/22, an Oklee resident reported harassment. That report remains under investigation.

On the evening of 07/20/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic disturbance at a Plummer residence. Red Lake County deputies responded and arrested Dean Mathew Kalstabakken (48) of Plummer. He was taken to the jail in Crookston and booked for felony terroristic threats, misdemeanor domestic assault, and disorderly conduct. He will make his initial court appearance in Crookston on 07/22/22.
