On the evening of 04/30/21, Shannon James Fisher (49) of Crystal, MN was cited for speeding on CR. #5 north of Oklee.

On the afternoon of 05/01/21, Vincent Todd Obeirne (56) of Bemidji was cited for speeding on CR. #7 east of Hwy. #59.

On the afternoon of 05/01/21, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle for a registration violation near the intersection of Hwy. #92 and Hwy. #59 in Brooks. The driver of this vehicle was Bradley Gerald Konickson (50) of St. Hilaire. It was discovered that Mr. Konickson had an active arrest warrant out of Pennington County and his driver’s license was canceled. Mr. Konickson was placed under arrest. Further investigation led to the discover of illegal controlled substances and drug paraphernalia in Konickson’s vehicle. After he was arrested, he claimed that he was having a medical emergency, so the Oklee Ambulance was dispatched to the scene. Mr. Konickson was taken to the Riverview ER in Crookston and he was admitted to the hospital. Red Lake County and Pennington County both canceled their holds on Mr. Konickson and he will be summonsed to court to face several criminal charges once his medical needs are attended to.

In the early morning hours of 05/02/21, Red Lake County deputies responded to a residence in Brooks to investigate a reported domestic disturbance. The investigation revealed that a female had been assaulted and her cellphone had been damaged. The suspect, Branden James Plante (26) of Brooks was found by law enforcement officers later that day. He was arrested, taken to the jail in Crookston, and booked for misdemeanor domestic assault and felony criminal damage to property. Mr. Plante appeared in Court in Crookston on 05/03/21. He was released with conditions that include no contact with the victim. His next court appearance was scheduled for 05/12/21 in Red Lake Falls.

On the evening of 05/02/21, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle in Oklee for a registration violation. Brenton Troy Gerholdt (36) of Oklee was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation and no proof of current motor vehicle insurance.

On the evening of 05/02/21, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle on CR. #5 in the city of Oklee for an equipment violation. Further investigation led to the discovery of illegal controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. The driver, Clyde Lawrence Graves Jr. (73) of Red Lake will be formally charged with felony possession of illegal controlled substances and the passenger of the vehicle, Brittany Michelle Auginash (27) of Redby, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana. Both individuals were released from custody at the scene.

On the morning of 05/04/21, a female juvenile from Brooks was cited for speeding on Hwy. #92 west of Oklee.

On 05/05/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of illegal dumping in the city of Plummer. A deputy located the responsible party and they agreed to clean up the trash and dispose of it properly. No criminal charges were filed.
