On 04/23/21, a formal criminal complaint was filed, charging a Red Lake Falls juvenile with misdemeanor assault. This charge was a result of an investigation into a report of a fight, outside of the Plummer school on 04/09/21. The complaint alleges this juvenile physically assaulted another juvenile that afternoon. This matter has been set for a juvenile court hearing in Red Lake Falls on 05/12/21.
On the evening of 04/26/21, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, Nico Allen Bushard (19) of Crookston was cited for an instructional permit violation. It was also discovered that the passenger of the vehicle, Julius Xavier Gomez (19) of Crookston had an active misdemeanor warrant in Polk County. Mr. Gomez was arrested and turned over to Polk County authorities.
On the evening of 04/27/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Red Lake Falls. A Red Lake County deputy responded. No crimes had been committed and one of the involved parties agreed to leave the residence for the night and the situation was resolved.
On the afternoon of 04/28/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a fire getting out of control at a residence in Red Lake Falls Township. The Red Lake Falls Fire Department responded and quickly extinguished the fire. No damage or injuries were reported.
On the evening of 04/28/21, a Plummer resident requested assistance to help find their missing child. Within minutes of the initial call, the child was found and no further assistance was needed.
On the evening of 04/28/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of harassment in the Red Lake Falls area. That report is under investigation.
On the morning of 04/29/21, an Oklee resident reported they were being harassed. That incident is also under investigation.
