On the afternoon of 12/09/22, Jessica Norby (44) of Red Lake Falls came to the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office to turn herself in for having an outstanding warrant. She posted a $50 cash bond and was released from custody. Her next court appearance was scheduled for 12/21/22 in Red Lake Falls.
On the evening of 12/09/22, David Garcia Rodriguez (48) of Greenbush was arrested for gross misdemeanor driving after cancelation (inimical to public safety) on CR. #5 south of Oklee. He was taken to the jail in Crookston. Mr. Rodriguez appeared in Court in Crookston on 12/12/22 and was released from custody.
On the evening of 12/09/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person. Assistance was provided to the reporting party and the missing individual was located the following morning and all was well.
On the evening of 12/10/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a barking dog causing a nuisance in Oklee. The dog’s owner, Elezvoy Lizov, was issued a civil citation for the ordinance violation.
On the afternoon of 12/12/22, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a report of a semi-truck that ran off the roadway and struck a light pole along Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls. No injuries were reported and Ottertail Power Company crew members secured the live wires in the damaged pole. Jeffrey Scott Hanson (46) of Reiles Acres, ND was cited for misdemeanor careless driving.
On the afternoon of 12/13/22, a civil citation was issued in the city of Oklee for illegal parking along 2nd Ave.
On the afternoon of 12/15/22, Red Lake County law enforcement provided traffic assistance for a tow truck pulling a semi-tractor and trailer out of the ditch along Hwy. #59 south of Brooks.
On the evening of 12/15/22, Red Lake County deputies provided assistance for the Holiday Train event in the city of Plummer.
On the afternoon of 12/18/22, Red Lake County law enforcement, the Oklee Ambulance, the Oklee Fire Department and the Plummer Fire Department were dispatched to a train/vehicle collision in the city of Brooks. A southbound Canadian Pacific Train stuck the back end of a westbound pickup at the Railroad Crossing on Dakota Ave. The vehicle was severely damaged, but fortunately, the driver of the vehicle was not injured. Minnesota State Troopers also responded to the scene, and they are handling the crash investigation.
On 12/19/22, a Red Lake County deputy went to Devils Lake, ND to transport Betty Jo Enno (57) of Belcourt, ND to the jail in Crookston. Red Lake County held an active felony warrant for NSF Checks. Ms. Enno remains in custody at the time of this release.


On the evening of 12/19/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a disturbance at the Dollar General Store in Red Lake Falls. An unruly customer was removed and trespassed from the store. No criminal charges were filed.
On the afternoon of 12/20/22, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. #32 on the south end of Red Lake Falls. The icy road conditions were a contributing factor that lead to a vehicle sliding into the back end of another vehicle. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and one of the involved occupants was transported to the Emergency Room by the Red Lake Falls Ambulance Service to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
On 12/22/22, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of property from a business in Red Lake Falls. That report remains under investigation.
On 12/23/22, a formal criminal complaint was filed, charging Oscar Alfredo Alfaro (39) of Red Lake Falls with two counts of felony criminal sexual conduct. The complaint alleges Mr. Alfaro engaged in sexual acts with a female, who was under the age of 14, in Red Lake County, on multiple occasions in the spring of 2022. He is currently in custody at the jail in Crookston. Mr. Alfaro has made an initial court appearance and cash bail was set at $7,500. His next court appearance will be in January of 2023.


Over the Christmas Holiday weekend, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received several calls about vehicles stuck in the deep snow or in the ditch. Red Lake County deputies provided assistance to motorists throughout the County. Fortunately, no injuries resulted from any of these incidents.
In the early morning hours of 12/28/22, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported Leland Lyman Jeanotte (25) of Brooks, had been arrested in East Grand Forks. Red Lake County held an active gross misdemeanor warrant for a harassment/restraining order violation that had occurred in November 2020. Mr. Jeanotte also has criminal charges pending in Polk County. He appeared in Court in Crookston on 12/29/22. Cash bail was set at $750 and he remains in custody at the time of this release. His next court appearance was set for 01/05/23.


On 12/29/22, an individual reported that a neighbor had piled snow on the street in front of their driveway in Red Lake Falls. The report remains under investigation.
On 12/29/22, after further investigation into a complaint of snow from a private residence getting piled onto 3rd St. in Red Lake Falls, John Bennett Thibert (62) of Red Lake Falls was cited for misdemeanor obstructing a public right of way and unlawful deposit of snow on a public roadway.
On 12/30/22, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office in Fargo, ND reported that Jeffrey Francis Bonham Jr. (35) of Red Lake Falls was going to be released from their jail. Red Lake County held an active gross misdemeanor warrant for a domestic assault charge. A Red Lake County deputy transported Mr. Bonham to the jail in Crookston. He appeared in court earlier this week and remains in custody at the time of this release.


On the afternoon of 01/02/23, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle stuck in a snowbank along Hamilton Ave. in Red Lake Falls. A Red Lake County deputy located the vehicle and arrested the driver for suspicion of DWI. Arthur James Paulson (63) of Grand Forks was taken to the jail in Crookston and booked for gross misdemeanor DWI test refusal. He appeared in Court on 01/04/23 and cash bail was set at $500. He remains in custody at this time.


On the afternoon of 01/03/23, Ethan Wade Housey (21) of Oklee was cited for misdemeanor expired motor vehicle registration and no proof of current motor vehicle insurance on CR. #5 in Oklee.
On the evening of 01/03/23, Faith Sophieann Larson (20) of Fosston was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana on Hwy. #59 in Brooks.
On the morning of 01/04/23, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible vulnerable adult abuse. That case is under investigation.
On the evening of 01/05/23, Jaye Allan Pyatte (31) of Red Lake Falls was cited for a misdemeanor expired driver’s license and no proof of current motor vehicle insurance on Main Ave. in Red Lake Falls.
On the morning of 01/06/23, Juston Joe Anderson (41) of Red Lake Falls was arrested in Red Lake Falls. He was taken to the jail in Crookston and booked for violating the terms of his supervised probation. Mr. Anderson was released from custody on 01/09/23.
On the afternoon of 01/06/23, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an individual receiving threats over social media. That matter is still under investigation.
On the afternoon of 01/07/23, Red Lake County law enforcement and the Plummer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at a residence in Emardville Township. The involved vehicle was severely damaged, but there were no injuries.
On the morning of 01/08/23, a deputy located a vehicle in the ditch along CR. #1 east of Plummer. There was no damage to the vehicle and nobody was injured. The vehicle was removed from the ditch by the owners.
On the evening of 01/08/23, Daniel Peter Frith (35) of Devils Lake, ND was cited for speeding on CR. #1 east of Red Lake Falls.
On 01/09/23, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office reported they had arrested Chantell Marie Roan Eagle (31) of Ponemah. Red Lake County held an active misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. A Red Lake County deputy transported her to the jail in Crookston. She appeared in Court in Crookston on 01/10/23 and was released from custody.
