Red Lake Co. Weekly Sheriff’s Reports Released

Red Lake County (trfnews.i234.me) — The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office has released a summary of incidents and responses for the week of September 19–26, 2025. Deputies handled a wide range of calls, including ordinance violations, vandalism, crashes, and community safety training.

On September 19, a deputy responded to Bridge Street in Red Lake Falls after dogs were reported running loose. The animals were returned to their owner, and Jordan Ray Hanson, 34, of Red Lake Falls, was cited for violating the city ordinance.

The following evening, a rural Plummer resident reported mailbox damage. Later, deputies also investigated complaints of ATVs and motorbikes causing damage to a gravel road near Plummer, but no suspects were found. That same night, a Red Lake Falls resident reported someone knocking on their windows, but no one was located.

On September 20, Sanford ER staff in Thief River Falls notified deputies they were treating a driver injured in a crash near Oklee. The deputy later located the damaged vehicle and confirmed the driver was the only occupant. The case remains under investigation.

On September 21, deputies investigated vandalism at a Plummer building. On September 23, deputies mediated a domestic disturbance in Louisville Township. On September 24, law enforcement assisted Red Lake Falls schools with an evacuation drill. Later that evening, deputies and local emergency responders attended a Landing Zone training in Brooks with a Sanford Air Med helicopter crew. The session highlighted the value of air medical services in rural emergencies. More details on Sanford’s program can be found at the Sanford Health Air Med page.

Also on September 24, deputies responded to Emardville Township after a farm implement struck a live power line on 140th Avenue. Plummer Fire, Oklee Ambulance, and Red Lake Electric crews secured the scene. No injuries were reported.

On September 25, deputies investigated several incidents, including an unruly customer at Dollar General, a viral TikTok trend involving public urination in Red Lake County towns, and a harassment report in Red Lake Falls. Deputies also arrested Aaron Duane Stevens, 30, of Thief River Falls, in Oklee, for probation violations. He was booked into the Crookston jail.
