Red Lake Co. Tractor Strikes Power Line

RED LAKE COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — Emergency crews responded Wednesday evening after a tractor struck a power line southeast of Plummer.

According to emergency radio traffic, the call came in around 8:15 p.m., reporting that a tractor had hit a line near 211059 240th Street Southeast. The line was still live when firefighters were paged to the scene.

The Plummer Fire Department was dispatched, and Red Lake Electric was notified to cut power to the line. Initial reports indicated that the tractor operator remained with the vehicle while responders secured the area.

Later updates from radio traffic suggested the situation ended without injuries or major damage. Authorities did not release the name of the tractor operator.

Officials remind the public to treat downed power lines as live and dangerous, and to immediately call 911 and the local utility in such incidents.
