Morning: Deputies and the Red Lake Falls Ambulance responded to a disturbance at a Louisville Township home. An adult female had a possible back injury. She was taken to the Riverview ER. The injury occurred during a dispute. The case remains under investigation.
Afternoon: A caller reported phone harassment and threats. A deputy spoke with the reporting party. The case is still under review.
Afternoon: Deputies and the Oklee Ambulance responded to an ATV crash in Lambert Township near the Oklee Pit. Investigators say a 2017 Arctic Cat 700, driven by Bruce Alen Boutain, 43, of Plummer, struck a 2023 Arctic Cat Prowler, driven by Michael Gregory Mortenson, 39, of Thief River Falls. Boutain was injured but declined ambulance transport. He went to Sanford ER in Thief River Falls for non-life-threatening injuries. Mortenson was not hurt. Both ATVs had substantial damage.
Saturday, Aug. 30
Afternoon: A Terrebonne Township resident asked a deputy about a nuisance animal. Advice was given.
Evening: A Plummer resident reported phone harassment. A deputy spoke with the caller and provided guidance.
Sunday, Aug. 31
Afternoon: A vehicle was reported on its side near County Roads 13 and 3, west of Red Lake Falls. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was righted and was drivable.
Tuesday, Sept. 2
Morning: A caller asked that an unwanted party be removed from a residence. The person left before the deputy arrived. The deputy spoke with those involved. The situation was mediated.
Wednesday, Sept. 3
Morning: A barking dog complaint came from the city of Red Lake Falls. A deputy spoke with the owner about correcting the issue.
Thursday, Sept. 4
Afternoon: Deputies, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and the Pine to Prairie Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at an Oklee residence. A cellphone and a tablet were seized. A suspect was interviewed. No arrests were made. The case remains under investigation.
Evening: Deputies responded to a disturbance at an apartment in Plummer. They found a person yelling at someone on the phone. No one was in danger. The individual was told to quiet down.
Friday, Sept. 5
Morning: Staff at the Cenex in Oklee reported a small child entered the store alone and wearing only underwear. Deputies arrived and found the child’s guardian had already located the child. The guardian and child were counseled.
