Red Lake (trfnews.i234.me) — A tense evening unfolded Friday in northern Minnesota as the Red Lake Police Department issued a shelter-in-place warning for the Shemagun/Heart Lake housing area, located just east of Red Lake.
While police have yet to release official details, a resident told TRF News that one man was shot and killed during the incident. In response, multiple law enforcement agencies — including the Red Lake Police, Minnesota BCA, and the FBI — began an intense search for a male suspect described as being dressed in all black with a face mask.
Witnesses claim the suspect was spotted at various locations across the Red Lake Reservation, prompting a lockdown. According to the same resident source, the suspect may have since been captured, but authorities have released no official confirmation at this time.
