What most people will not admit ( because of their fear of mortality ) is that we are over-populated . We reached peak population in the mid 1980s . Not just Minnesota but the whole world was warned in the 70s that we were going to reach peak population and we did . since then we have more than doubled our population and we are slowly killing the planet because of it . There is nothing we can do do fix what we have done it is too late . It is Human Nature to destroy ourselves and we are doing a good job of that .
