Crow Wing County (trfnews.i234.me) was the site of a rear-end collision Thursday morning after a vehicle slowed to the shoulder and was struck from behind.
The crash occurred at 10:48 AM on March 6, 2025, at the intersection of Highway 371 and Gull Lake Dam Road NW in West Crow Wing Unorganized Township.
Crash Details & Emergency Response
Authorities reported that a 2012 Chevy Impala was traveling southbound on Highway 371 when it slowed and moved toward the southbound shoulder. At that moment, a 2013 Chevy Silverado, also traveling southbound, crashed into the rear of the Impala.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance responded to the scene.
Injuries & Hospitalization
- Alyssa Larae Pagel (43) of Brainerd, MN, driver of the Chevy Impala, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Joe’s Hospital in Brainerd for treatment.
- Lamont Vernon Peterson (70) of Pine River, MN, driver of the Chevy Silverado, was not injured.
Authorities confirmed that: Both drivers were wearing seatbelts
Airbags did not deploy
Alcohol was NOT a factor
