Crash Narrative:

On June 7, 2024, at approximately 8:15 AM, a rear-end collision occurred on I-94 westbound near mile marker 253, three miles west of Jamestown. Kory Russell was driving a 2014 Ram 2500 towing an empty gooseneck trailer when he rear-ended a 1994 Freightliner driven by Mohamed Ibrahim. The impact caused the Ram to veer off the roadway, overturning in the north ditch and coming to rest upright facing east. The Freightliner came to rest facing north in the north ditch.

Russell and his 7-year-old passenger were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by Jamestown Ambulance. The child was later airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo by Sanford AirMed due to serious injuries. The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
