Randy was a sports enthusiast and could tell you any statistic about any team. He was a die-hard Fighting Sioux, Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins fan. He liked watching and attending NASCAR races and spent a number of years helping in the pits at River City Speedway in Grand Forks. Randy was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed the solitude of his grandparents’ Roy Lake, Minnesota lake cabin and going for drives on the country roads looking for deer and any other wildlife that was roaming the prairie. He was in his happy place when he could enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and watching wildlife in their natural habitat. Strangers were only friends he had never met before.
