Randal (Randy) Loeslie, age 73, of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away at Altru Hospital on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Randy was born on July 3rd, 1950, in Warren, Minnesota to Benjamin and Angela (Boutain) Loeslie. He grew up on the family farm near Radium, Minnesota. Randy was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Radium. He graduated from Warren High School in 1968, and went on to North Dakota State School of Science where he obtained his Civil Engineering degree. Randy began work as an engineering surveyor but found his long term career at Grand Forks Traill Water where he led the implementation of reverse osmosis.
Randy was united in marriage to Joanne (Joni) Fossen on March 19th, 1989 at the Chapel of Love in Las Vegas, Nevada. Randy was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Fighting Sioux Fan. He loved spending time at the hunting shack and at the lake.
Randy is survived by his wife, Joni Loeslie; daughter Shelli (Jeff) Beliveau; grandchildren Joshua, Jaden and Jace Randal Beliveau; siblings Karen Kifer, Holly Porter, Lane Loeslie, David (Naomi) Loeslie; many nieces and nephews including special nieces Jodie (Matt) Vannelli and Katie (Josh) Armbrust; and many great nieces and nephews. Randy is also survived by his former wife, Sheila Siegler.
Randy was preceded in death by Benjamin and Angela Loeslie; father and mother in law Henry and Margaret Fossen; brothers-in-law Dale Kifer, Bill Porter, William Fossen; sisters-in-law Diane Loeslie, Jeanne Flint.
Services for Randy will be held on Thursday, May 30th at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks with Visitation at 4:30pm and the Celebration of Life following at 6:00pm. Memorials are suggested to the Lakota Cemetery at PO Box 54 Lakota, ND 58344, Lakota Ambulance at PO Box 338 Lakota, ND 58344, or charity of your choice in Randy’s name.
