Los Angeles County (https://trfnews.i234.me) – Minnesota-born actress Loni Anderson, best known for her role as Jennifer Marlowe on the popular sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, has died at the age of 79.
Anderson passed away at a hospital in Los Angeles, according to a statement released by her family on Sunday. “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother,” the statement said.
Born in St. Paul and raised in Roseville, Anderson began her acting career in Minnesota, performing at local venues such as the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres and the Old Log Theater. She rose to national fame on WKRP in Cincinnati, which aired from 1978 to 1982, and later appeared in films including Stroker Ace alongside then-husband Burt Reynolds.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
