At approximately 11:30 p.m., Saint Paul police responded to a distressing 911 call reporting an unresponsive individual lying in front of a residence on the 1400 block of 6th Street East, near Harding High School. Upon arrival, officers discovered 19-year-old Jay’Mier Keymari Givens suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Emergency medical personnel swiftly transported Givens to Regions Hospital, where, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead. This marks the city’s second homicide of the year, intensifying concerns about local safety.
The Saint Paul Police Department’s homicide unit, alongside forensic specialists, has launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding this grievous act. As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities are diligently working to identify any potential suspects.
