According to officials, deputies spotted the suspect around 11:45 a.m. on Century Avenue near Highway 36. He was driving a dark blue Hyundai Elantra with two passengers. The warrant indicated the Minneapolis case involved a shooting and abuse, making the arrest a priority.
Deputies moved in quickly after confirming his identity. The driver attempted an evasive move when he saw flashing lights from a nearby pickup, but the attempt failed. Deputies boxed in the vehicle using multiple squad cars, including an unmarked minivan, and stopped it without further incident.
Officers placed the suspect in handcuffs at the scene. Two passengers were also detained. Among them was another man wanted in Minneapolis for aggravated assault and a 20-year-old from St. Paul. Authorities say the arrests highlight cooperation between county and city law enforcement in tracking violent offenders.
The case remains under investigation, and additional charges may follow as evidence is reviewed. Ramsey County officials noted that swift action prevented any further danger to the public during the takedown.
