Funeral Services for Ramona May (Ellis) Gravdahl, 94 of Northwood, ND formerly of Sisseton, SD will be Friday, February 14, at 2:00 P.M. at the Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD with the Rev Tom Mueller officiating. Organist will be Shelva Landmark. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Ramona’s Family and Friends. Burial will be in the Sisseton Cemetery, Sisseton, SD at a later date. Visitation will be at the Cahill Funeral Chapel on Friday 12 – 2:00 P.M. Ramona May (Ellis) Gravdahl, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Northwood Deaconess Health Center Northwood, ND. Ramona was born on May 9, 1930, to Joseph Charles and Bessie (Manley) Ellis near Sisseton. She attended grade school in Sisseton Township and graduated from Sisseton High School. On August 13, 1950, Ramona Ellis Married Donald ‘Bud’ Eugene Gravdahl at Sisseton in the Presbyterian Church. They farmed three miles north of Sisseton until 1962 when they moved to Rapid City, SD. The family then moved to Grand Forks in 1964. Ramona complete classes at UND for her North Dakota teacher certification and began teaching second grade at Kelly Elementary. Ramona later taught at Nathan Twining Elementary School on the Grand Forks Air Force Base. Ramona, is survived by four sons, Paul (Jeanette) Gravdahl of Sisseton; Vincent (Teri) Gravdahl of Vadnais Heights, MN; Marshall (Becky) Gravdahl of Woodbury, MN; Charles (Mary) Gravdahl of Northwood, ND; five grandchildren: Jennifer Gravdahl, Daniel Gravdahl, Peter Gravdahl, Alex Gravdahl, and Pasha Gravdahl; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-granddaughters; four sisters: Colleen Harmon, Joan Huseby, Faith Ann Robertz, Dawn Rettig. Ramona was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gravdahl, parents, three sisters, Muriel Gerber, Ruth Harmon, Nola Ellis.
