Blackduck, Beltrami County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — A high school prom in Blackduck, Minnesota, took a concerning turn late Saturday night when a student was arrested for making terroristic threats. Authorities responded to a call around 11:00 p.m. near Blackduck High School, where officers were with a male subject who was believed to have potentially prevented an active shooting.

Chris Muller, Emergency Services Director for Beltrami County, clarified that no weapon was observed or discovered during the incident. The situation began when a student was removed from the Blackduck School Prom for violating school rules. An acquaintance of that student became upset with school officials and made targeted threats towards staff. The juvenile left the school and was later located by deputies.

Authorities state that the threatening statements were corroborated by other students, leading to the arrest of the juvenile for threats of violence. The individual was transported to the Northwest Juvenile Detention Center on charges of terroristic threats. TRF News
