Preliminary Hearing Scheduled for Stutsman County Child Neglect Case

a preliminary hearing date of February 28th has been set for a Stutsman County couple charged with child neglect and more that hearing is to determine if there is enough evidence in the case to bring the matter to trial here’s the original report Tyler and Amanda doctor have each been charged with felony child neglect and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia Amanda doctor also faces a felony charge of felon in possession of a firearm in misdemeanor charge of ingesting a controlled substance meth their five children were put into custody of social services we now also know their children were put into a foster home between November of 2016 and April of 2017 at that time Social Services made an assessment that Tyler and Amanda doctor were exposing the children to domestic violence in unsanitary and unsafe conditions in the home according to court records the following services were recommended and not completed by the family anger-management addiction treatment domestic violence and family counseling the doctors told the court they would follow through with the counseling when the children were returned to them in April of 2017 it was reported they did not follow through a Kensal resident tells i-news she never saw the couple around town they kept to themselves until a probation search of their home this past week revealed dirty dishes and garbage lying everywhere a loaded 357 revolver that could be accessed by the children officers also found rotting meat in a freezer and what appeared to be the makings of a meth lab and a dead rotting cat in the basement buy children’s toys and both of the homes bathrooms were not working filled with urine and feces officers also found a text message on Amanda’s phone from Tyler that read find a glass tray and get a rail setup that’s a method used for snorting meth I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV
