a deal involving the possible sale of three lake of the woods resorts along the rainy river is apparently in the works i just talked with joe swanson of rock island homes one of two partners that owned several properties including the bluefin bay resorts on lake superior north of duluth and northern skies a new rv park at international falls under development now inews has learned the deal includes the possible sale of wheeler’s point border view lodge and sportsman’s lodge however swanson tells me because of non-disclosure agreements he can’t talk about anything till any deal is final he says of as of today they don’t have ownership of those properties he says the resorts are free to talk so an employee of the sportsman’s lodge tells me they were told by their management they’d be under new ownership as of april 1st the owners of wheelers point and border view lodge declined to comment swanson told me he’ll give me a call if and when the deal is done he did say in other deals they’ve done they keep the current employees and culture of the resort properties they purchase we’ll keep you updated as to if and when this deal is completed i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
